There's a lot of that in open source communities, and it's frustrating. If someone is posting with a Windows problem, they want to fix Windows, not hear about how someone's favorite Linux distro owns it or the evils of Bill Gates. It might be a family machine they can't change, they might need program X for school/work, etc. And so on.

I'm probably guilty of being a snark sometimes. I try not to be, because it doesn't help anyone D:.
