I think what they were claiming is that it's not a scam because the people "at the bottom" in a pyramid scheme stay at the bottom.
Which is not how pyramid shills work, if you were to join a scheme and be told you stay at the bottom you'd never join in, it's only progressing up the pyramid that provides an incentive.
Speaking of which i highly doubt that once someone has had a fursuit paid for they are going to remain in the scheme...
