Ironically, on the heels of my last post that mentions how ageplayers get lumped in with pedos, I just now had somebody who is a kinkster and who like...wants to be a "serious" kink essayist and blogwriter, slap out a snarky commentary on somebody else that is making me want to reach through the internet and strangle her.

I have already told her that what she said is not cool, but I feel like I need additional ranting, and screaming and shaking somebody who has given at least a half-assed apology will probably go nowhere.

You just called me a pedophile child rapist. Not in so many words, but we all fucking know what you meant. When you say "Jesus fucking christ" at the idea of a person who has real children engaging in ageplay kink, you are literally saying that people with an ageplay kink would molest real children. You are actually and genuinely calling folks like me pedophiles and predators, by saying there's any connection of any kind between having real life kids and an ageplay kink.

I get why people don't always like ageplayers. They can be among the worst and most obnoxious of kinksters. There's a reason I'm not in any ageplay specific groups, there are toxic aspects to the culture. But ageplay is a kink. It is a fantasy. You wear a fucking slave collar, cupcake. Are you looking to roll back the 13th amendment? No?

THEN WHY THE FUCK DO YOU THINK THAT MY FUCKING FANTASY FETISH HAS ANYTHING WHATSOEVER TO DO WITH REAL CHILDREN???????????

My kiddo is not in danger from me! I do not look at her and think of my kinks. I do not do my kink and think of her! Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. Heh. I'm just glad I have somewhere to express it. I did get an *actual* apology from said person a little later, so I'm no longer really "fuck you" at them, (so I suppose I could take this down, but eh, it's here.) and if I'd screamed that directly to them things might not have gone so well... But really, that specific assumption pushes my buttons so damn hard!

Ugh. Be aware all you want and keep an eye out to see whether or not someone is blurring the lines, but nobody should assume that a kinky person has any intention of having others take part nonconsensually in their kink.

As I mentioned, ageplay culture has huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge problems, but I've never seen even the least hint of any of those problems having jack or squat to do with abuse of children. The actual problems have more to do with irresponsible adults who want to stay in "little" mode forever and act like giant children even when it's wildly inappropriate and involves/ruins things for other adults. See why Rainfurrest is no longer a convention and how ageplayers (or at least certain ones) end up banned from kink parties. :P

Ah, yes, I have seen what it can be like when a little starts to get out of control. Having several of them at once would be significantly detrimental to my ability to cope.
