Not a good day.
Jul. 31st, 2002 11:29 pmToday's events in brief.
1. Signed check for $400+ for first month's rent and deposit. I hate not having money.
2. My van door dented so deep it's almost folded in half. Argh. (Van was parked at the time, the neighbor just backed into it, nobody was hurt.)
3. Had to go to work. 'nuff said.
4. Called Wufly, cell phone died on me in mid-conversation.
5. Recharged phone.
6. Called back, line busy.
7. Feeling hideously lonely, tried calling somebody else. (Not going to mention his name and ruin his reputation.)
8. Had the following conversation:
Me: Hello, who's speaking?
X: This is ______
Me: Welll hi, this is Stephanie. I was bored at work and thought I'd give you a call.
X: This is a business phone, Ma'am. I'm going to hang up now. *click*
9. Sat around in stunned depression for the next two hours, not quite believing that a good friend had given me his business phone and then acted so rudely when I called it. (He'd better have a good explanation for this when I can talk to him, is all I have to say... Grrrrrrr....)
10. Called Wulfy again, got to talk for 5 stinking minutes before my phone died.
11. Seriously contemplated throwing the phone across the room. Must kill Nokia and/or AT&T.
12. Got off of work at last went home and waited for 11 when I could log on, alternately wanting to curl up on the bed and sob or claw something to pieces.
13. Am now on-line and feeling a little bit better. Why can't real life be more like IRC?
