So today's big news? I went shopping with my bro and found a Final Fantasy CD, which surprised me. I didn't expect any FF related stuff except maybe a Spirits Within soundtrack, but there it was, so I bought it. It's the Nobuo Uematsu N Generation Official Best Collection. Very nice!
And last night I finally got my ATT internet connection, and I am typing this from my little lap top in my own basement apartment. Wheee! No more depending on my parent's lousy computer, now I can depend on my own lousy computer. I was getting a few odd looks from my fam. when I started jumping for joy, but I don't care.
I've decided that one of my great joys in life is getting odd looks. To quote Calvin, (of Calvin and Hobbes) "I just like to make people's lives a little more surreal." Or something to that effect anyhow. That's a good part of the motivation behind the fang thing, the other part being my current fixation on vampires.
So the other night I good a good odd look. It was 2 in the morning, and I had just finished chatting on #crfh on my parent's computer. I pass a 24-hour grocery on my way home every night, and tonight I gave in to the urge to go a buy something snacky to eat before bed. I decided I would renew my quest for true chocolate peanut butter swirl. It's hard to find here in Utah for some reason. Peanut butter cup yes, that's everywhere, but no peanut butter swirl, which is, in my humble opinion, much, much better. So lo! I had success! It was the expensive brand, of course, but I found it. Mmmmmmmmmmmm! (Which reminds me, I still have some left, I should go eat it...) Anyhow, I wandered the store for a bit, and I ended up deciding I wanted to try a blood orange. They look interesting and I've never had one. And then I saw the cherries. I looooooooove cherries. They were too expensive, but I got them anyhow. So picture me at 2 am. buying ice cream, cherries and a blood orange. I got a look, indeed, though not the best look. The best look was the 1 am. random expedition that brought me to the register with a can of beets, three sticks of string cheese, and a jar of marinated artichoke hearts. What can I say? That's what I was in the mood for.
