State of the union.

Well, I'm up and down a bit of late. Sick + emotional stress = spaz time. Got my gold fledgeling in the mail today, and that is all happy and glee. It looks even better in person than in the photos, and I'm now that much closer to the full fledgeling set. Though I think, Silver, that getting my Old Warrior leveled me up to a level two, so when I get the full set, I can say I'm level three. *grins*

In other news, weirdly enough I know what I'm getting a lot of people for Christmas. At least should what I plan on getting be available at that time, which really it should be.

Need to really buckle down and get some work done today, but am sooooooooooooooo not motivated. Yay, stress! Also yay lack of hard deadlines. There are deadlines looming in the distance that make it necessary to get this suit done ASAP, but it's hard to get the motivation for crazy hard work when the next hard deadline I have is Hallween. Ah well. I'll at least get something done today. Making the body pattern and doing the muscle carving, probably. (Yay, muscle suit!) Also must look into where to get massive bulk foam around here...

I have three things coming up with muscle work on them, and it'll be good to finally get to play with that. The easiest is Ren's suit, just six pack and pecs, and that's so simple that I'm not even worried at all. Then I get to do digitigrade legs, which will be interesting... and then I get to do a fat suit for a big dinosaur. Whee. That's going to be interesting, and messy to do. Hope JJ will forgive me.

Also, my lava gryphon is ending today! It's at $91 now, and I'm really hoping there's a few people waiting to snipe it, as it's really worth a lot more than that, but if that's what I get, ah well. It won't pay for my time, but at least it's a good bit more than the unpainted figure cost me. Wategazer, a truly amazing artist, is selling custsom paints, and it's almost sad how low the bidding is on them... though I suppose they also might go up at the last minute. But she's way better than I am, and seems to consistently get somewhat less than I do for her pieces. Maybe it's her listings, I'm not sure...

Anyhow, once the competition is gone, I think I'll be putting up another custom paint job offer. I really do need to bring in some extra money.

I have a manly chest!

Okay, that sounds really wrong. The manly chest here doesn't actually belong to me, it's Renkairu's. I just happen to have it on my bed just now.

Hrm, that still sounds wrong.

Anyhow, I'm carving foam for a muscle-suit chest insert thingy for Ren's fursuit. Is spiffy! Needs some more work though. Right now it's a bit too Arnold, and that's not quite the right look. Especially as it's just the chest. A super body-builder chest with normal human arms and legs would look very odd.

Also got the torso pattern made. I need to do an additional chest panel piece to fit over the foam once I have that done, and I need to get the leg pattern made, and feet, but things are coming along swimmingly.

Head is more or less done, but I can't glue the fur on until I have the whiskers, and I haven't been by the store recently, so no whiskers.

Custom it is...

Man... the lava elemental gryphon sold for LESS than the snow leopard went for! And it took me about twice as long!

I don't think I'm going to do much with pre-painted stuff after this. Commissioned all the way! And really I'd like to be able to do Windstone commissions like I do fursuits, just put the word out and wait for people to contact me. But for now ebay shall have to suffice.

Ah well. Whoever won that thing got a STEAL.
