ZOMGWTFBBQ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just got a little letter from the people at CONduit, asking if I'll be a panelist again this year. I'm going to have to turn them down, because going all the way to Salt Lake City for a 600-ish person local con just isn't worth it. Especially as it's not a furcon, so I couldn't make back any expenses selling stuff. I did it last year just because getting there was the cost of a tank of gas, and I think I about broke even, with that and my booth fee, and the pathetic sales I had. But right now I am SO wishing I could manage to make it, because DAVID WEBER is the guest of honor! At CONduit! What the heck is he doing there? And at a small con, you actually stand a chance of talking to a guest of honor for a smidge. Man! Why couldn't he have been there last year? Last year they had jack all for guests. The timing here is horrible! Woe!
