Ponyfication!

The bug has bitten me at last. I have contemplated doing it for many a year, but I never had an idea that was worth the effort of doing. Oh, I'd thought about dark elves, and vampires, and occasionaly considered a goth of some kind, but those have all been done, really. Done to death, even. And then yesterday, while browsing through the gallery of aikarin's custom work, I happened upon something I liked rather well.

I've no idea who the "Chasing Halos" are. But seeing an electric guitar on the pony sparked a train of thought. It went something like "That's cool, I should do a pony for a rock band. Like Pink Floyd, they're pretty much my favorite band, I could do a pink pony of some kind or... PINK! Yes! From The Wall! Bwa ha ha ha ha! It must be done."

So it's going to be done. Next time I'm at Walmart or FredMeyer or somewhere like that, I'm going to buy a new white pony. (White because Pink needs to be pasty pale. I thought about using an actual "pink" pony, but then I decided white would be better.) It will be de-haired and the symbol stripped off, and then I get to have all kinds of fun. *evil grin* I think I'm even going to sew a little paramilitary outfit for it, complete with hammer armband.

It makes me wonder if anybody's done this yet. Surely I am not the only person in which fondness for ponies and fondness for Pink Floyd overlap.

Birthday stuffs

So somebody suggested that people might wish to get my birthday presents, and that I should let them know what I want.

So okay! I am always happy to window shop and compile lists of stuff. Thus, with the disclaimer that I'm not really asking for any of this, it's just if you wanted to get me something anyhow, you know... Anyhow, I give you my Birthday wish list:

Weird pocky, (by which I mean something other than plain chocolate or strawberry, especially New York Brownie and Men's pocky.)British chocolates which one cannot get in the USA, Tim-Tams/Pengus, stuff like that.
Windstones, of course. Particularly right now I'm wanting the Mouse Wizard, the Crouching wolf-colored griffin chick, the wolf-colored mother and father griffins, and the emerald peacock fledgling dragon. (Though I realize those are quite out of the budget for most folks, seeing as how the cheapest thing there is the chick, which is $52...) Oh! Also any PYO Windstones at all! I can always do more painting!
Art of my characters. I always love getting other artist's takes on my various personas.
Ursula Vernon art prints. I have a few favorites, like the Pearaphim and the fanged strawberry, but really I can't think of a Vernon piece that I don't like.
Big Brother ponies, particularly beat up ones. I'm turning over a couple of other custom ideas in my head, and I'd love a custom bait big brother.
An Alivan's wand. I want to go to a book party for the new book, in costume, so it'd be shiny-spiffy to have a wand.

Of course there's all kinds of other junk I'd like, I have odd and broad tastes, but those were a few that came to mind, varying in price range. And I'll add in again that this isn't a request for any of that stuff, this is just if somebody really wants to get me something, these are all things I'd like but certainly do not need.
