Shock and awe!

Today we are cleaning our apartment. *gasp!* Amazing, I know. It desperately needs it, but it's mostly happening because while we're gone, JJ's mother will be coming over to feed the cats, and the state of this place is really kind of embarassing. I've made a start on my room. I have WAY too much junk. And lots of ponies. I just got a box of 90% fakies in, which is startlingly large and is taking up yet more space, in addition to the box of baits, the box of trade ponies, and the customs in progress. I bought fakies because the lot had one pony I wanted in it, which I got cheap, because in a heap of fakies I don't think anybody else noticed the real one. And I can probably sell the fakies later, especially as there's a pair of Cabbage Patch horses in the lot, which actually have a little value.

Just two days! Today we clean, tomorrow I mail a few last things and pack my stuff, Wednesday we leave at a disgustingly early hour. We're headed to Vegas, where we shall party with boardies, heckle jousters, and have lots of fun. Then we cross the desert at Death Valley and drive up the length of California, where we will hit every national park along the route between there and Oregon, including doing some backpacking in Yosemite. I've never been there, and I quite look forward to it!

We'll be back on July 31st. (At which point, no longer needing to save up for the trip, I shall start saving up for my snake! Yay!) But for now, cleaning.

I should have sent everybody but Kaura my phone number for BC so you can get in touch. Kaura? Poke me on IRC or something so I can pm you. I couldn't readily find your username on the boards to send pm, and didn't really feel like hunting for it. If anybody else didn't get it, drop me a line. I rather wish I'd asked for everybody else's phone numbers before this, I suspect the day and a bit before I take off won't be time enough to get them all though. Oh well! You guys call me if anything goes wrong. I expect everybody will have arrived at hotel before the end of the day on Thursday. Should anything go wrong, you'll have to reach me, I can't reach you. The actual partying begins on Friday, so there's no huge worry if somebody's late, I just don't want to think your plane went down in flames or your car crashed or whatever if it's midnight Thursday and I haven't heard from you.
