Labradorite!
Mar. 21st, 2008 08:50 pmI should be getting some very nice labradorite spheres and eggs in the mail shortly, so I decided to sell my slabs. First offer up to you guys, then they'll go on ebay, as usual. Labradorite is a form of feldspar that has what's called "chatoyance" or sometimes just "flash." It's like moonstone, and also a bit like tiger's eye, both of which are also chatoyant. What that means is that it has a optical property that causes colors to come and go depending on the angle you view them at. I tried to capture this in the photos below. All three of these are quite nice, though one of them has a much stronger flash than the other two. (And is priced accordingly.)
( Three labradorite slabs for sale. )
Shipping on these is going to be a little more, because I can't just tuck them into an envelope. I can still send them first class, but it's going to be more like $3, or of course I can send by priority for $5.
First come, first serve, as usual.
