I don't wear scent enough to super justify buying a lot of perfume. I get BPAL imps (little sample bottles) sometimes, though, because when I do, I like having a variety of choices. I have considered getting a full bottle of one or two of my favorites (Embalming Fluid, Kumiho) but never quite bit the bullet.
However, discovering their Good Omens line, which isn't available as imps, I finally couldn't resist getting the Aziraphale scent. I have FEELS about him, okay? And I remember thinking that the notes about what it smelled like sounded like I'd enjoy it?
So I got it and put it on yesterday, and <3 Yup! It's great.
It's super, super, super subtle. Like, tbh I might wear it a lot, just because it's so barely there I wouldn't feel weird about it in any context? (The notes say "ethereal musk" and indeed! Also it really does smell like book dust, especially initially.)
I also got two sample imps free with it (woo!) and just now put on "Rogue" from the RPG line, which is NOT subtle at all. I have been walloped in the nose with something peppery and...resinous? Pine? The nose say "rosin" so I guess that's it? It's supposed to smell like leather and hemp, but I don't get that. Maybe after wearing for a while.
I have one more to try, "Roses, Pearls and Diamonds" which will probably have to wait until tomorrow because WOW do I smell like resin. And actually now that it's sat a bit I'm getting the hemp, too. So I smell like a christmas tree in a head shop, lol. I'm not complaining, I like it! But wow is it strong.
