I'm off to the country fair!

I've gone three years running now, which is an impressive statistic, given that the fair is held just outside of Eugene, and during the previous two years I lived in Ogden. But it's just that good that I arranged my summer travel, conventions, etc, around being able to make it there. It is the world's biggest hippie-fest, and is absolutely amazing. It's like Mardi-Gras collided with Burning Man in the middle of a woodlands hippie convention. Very fun! Where else could you get a steamed artichoke at a fair food booth? Mmmmm.

So that's the plan for today. I intend to wear a rainbow ear and tail set and hand out business cards, so I'll be doing a bit of promoting as well as enjoying the day's events. Whee!

You should come down here in September and do the tulelake-Butte Valley fair as well. I'll go with you and help. ^_^ And it'd be a good excuse to go have fun and eat fair food (mm fair food) and drag JJ around to look at the neat animal exhibits. :D :D :D
