bladesparkI have a new printer/scanner/copier/fax combo thing. It's farily awesome, though I doubt I'll ever use the fax.
But it speaks.
Scared the living daylights out of me the first time it did it. It still startles me, even when I'm expecting it, but I keep forgetting it does it! Not that the printer itself has speakers, it's through the computer. But in the middle of listening to music, one does not expect to her a Star-Trek-esque neutral masculine voice going "Printing started" at you.
But it speaks.
