In other news, I am NEVER going to understand how some people's brains work. Really I won't. *eyes you all suspiciously*

If you actually wish to know, it was a combination of conversations with one person and seeing somebody else's lj. Apparently, though I still lack certain interpersonal skills, I seem to be an intrapersonal genious. Which is to say that I actually have a good handle on what makes me tick. And I find it rather strange and bizarre that other people don't understand how they themselves think. That just... boggles my mind. Totally and utterly boggled. How can you not know how your own mind works?

Mine is cracked, warped, and tends to go in six directions.

Is that an understanding, or an excuse as to why I don't understand it? ;)

Well, I wouldn't have asked if I didn't want to... but I'm nosey that way.

Well, I certainly can't claim to understand some of how I work. In some aspects - especially in the way I program - I don't have the faintest idea because it is all subconscious (which is both helpful and bloody inconvenient). I guess some of it might be down to never really spending all that much time thinking about how I work inside.

N) I wonder... certainly, understanding oneself should be the first priority, ignoring briefly more immediate survival-related necessities.

Time spent thinking about the matter may be very relevant. *apparently 'thinks too much'*

Because you're trying to analyse it with itself, while it's running.

"Meta-thought" is either evidence of good multi-tasking ability, or possibly a good philosophical argument for the existence of the soul.

Understanding of how my mind works is not required. Merely your compliance or your death. The choice is, of course, entirely up to you.

*nods sagely, in a vaugely Bob-like manner*
