Remember my portrait of Guardian? Well, the gal who drew it is now doing me a proper book cover for Blood and Fire. It will be utterly awesome! She sent along the rough sketches today.

Aren't they great?! I almost couldn't choose, but I ended up going with the second design.

Good choice! The second one has more dramatic effect and will work well with the cover text.

Just make sure your artist has a confirmed final size for the book or the cover might not fit in the end (make sure that size includes at least 1/8" to 1/4" 'bleed' at the edges too). You don't want to make some prepress tech/designer or print shop guy cry (it's quite pathetic to watch, really... ;D ).

...Hey, you wouldn't happen to know what percentage is usually given for that sorta thing, no? ­­¬.¬; Wondering 'cause Aer wants to use a drawing I did for him in the same manner. ^^;
