N) Hrm. Why can't a cat be de-fleaed?

It just doesn't quite seem fair to bring a cat into a situation where I KNOW the cat will get fleas.

Aw man, still with the fleas eh??

I suppose you could look on the bright side that you're able to get a kitty at all (barring other issues) at some point. I am deathly allergic to them (and just about every other animal) and I absolutely love them. It's painful to know I can never have one. -_-

Awwwwww. *winghuggle* I know that feeling well - I was down at my brother's house earlier and he has two adorable cats. I can't have one ;.;

N) From the apartment (the apartment's de-fleaing hasn't succeeded yet?)?

Indeed. The apartment is still infested. It's gone from ZOMG!fleas! to finding one every could of days, but they're still there. And flea medications and collars aren't really good for cats...

Wantkitty! I do, I do, but I don't have space for one. Maybe when I'm established.

That's the thing is that for years I've been telling myself that someday, when I have a big enough place, and am on my own, I'd get a cat. And now, here I am, ready to get a cat after all this waiting... and I still can't! Soooooo frustrating!

theres nothing wrong with vet approved flea medications. i prefer feline Revolution. some cats have allergic reactions to Advantage so i wont use it.

flea medicine isnt unhealthy for them as long as you are applying it to the back of the neck where they cant lick it off.

You'll get rid of them soon! Plus, worse comes to absolute worst, I bet a vet could help you make sure that the fleas don't become a problem.

I want more kitties...but not until I get a place o' me own. ;.; My Shadow-kitty went street-crazy and ran off(he still stalks around the block foaming, so I know he didn't just run away), Casper died, and Dude is my dad's and is quite old. ;.;

Want'notherkitty for me, I guess. ^^;

Yeah, vet approved flea medications are really pretty darn safe; I've used Advantage and Revolution on my dogs, cats, and even rats (just a tip-of-a-toothpick drop!).

Now, on the other hand, flea collars ARE unsafe. And so are store-bought spot flea medications and powders. Many cats have had seizures from the Hart brands and other pet store and grocery store topical flea medications.

As for fleas in the house, ugh, we had that pretty bad one summer. The fleas get into the carpet and can hang out there forever, to emerge when blooooood is near.

One suggestion I have is VACUUM VACUUM VACUUM. When fleas are in their pupae stage, they are resistant to insecticides and the like. Vacuuming not only sucks up eggs and pupae and adults, it also stimulates the fleas to emerge sooner into their adult (and more vulnerable stage).

Because of the life cycles of fleas it can take several flea generations to rid a house of them. An allergist may have more hints than I!

... And, are you the same SPark who drew this for me, ages and ages ago?

I randomly came across you on the 'net, I think on artists beware. And then I was like, Whoa, what, SPark, with that uppercase "P"?? :D
