Random Sabers is awesome! They make custom lightsaber hilts! (Well, custom "saber" hilts, no actual copyrighted anything is visible, though I do wonder how they get away with a couple of their designs, that are definitely rather familiar...) You can get things from practice sabers that are basicaly cylinders designed to put a carbon fiber blade in, to amazingly detailed things with electronics built in for those glowing blades! So spiffy! (Though I'd probably get the plain colored rod. Inexpensive, and still looks pretty spiffy.)

And they're really not terribly expensive. I mean... not cheap, but you can get some of their perfectly nice hilts for less than the FX sabers cost. And it's all custom. They don't repeat designs, you submit a design to them and they make it for you. Or I imagine you could just let them come up with something, if you didn't have a design in mind.

Of course me being me, I made up my own. I don't know if I'll actually get it, but I might... I should at least send it in and see about getting a quote on it.

That is neat! I do like your design. :) And... meh. Light side or dark side, I think you can have style no matter what your Jedi philosophy. I can fully conceive of a light side Jedi who dresses in black and wields a red blade. They'd just get funny looks from other Jedi but they'd look spiff. ;)
