So - I'm contemplating Christmas gifts, and a couple of people on my list might like a Windstone. I can't afford to get anybody the big ones, but the PYOs are reasonably priced. However, given that I am crazy, my tastes may not run normally. So I thought I'd ask for some opinions and thoughts.

Given the choice between gryphon, dragon and kirin, which would you folks chose, and most importantly, why? Knowing the why shall enable me to try and figure out who might like which of these.

Please pretty-pretty please comment! Please! The more input I get, the better decision I'll be able to make.

Any other time i'd say go with the dragons, but to be honest the gryphon looks way better

I'm partial to the dragon... and since I'm not really a dragon person, (I have nothing against them, just never was really interested in them) that says a lot. The kirin is cute, it kinda reminds me of a sugarglider with its face shape and big eyes. And the gryphon is nice and majestic looking in a youthful kind of way.

But the dragon has a thoughtful, wise expression. It gives off a feeling of keeping the people around it safe and secure.

I'd get a kirin, because I don't already have one (in any form, not just in Windstone), because they're unusual, and because I like unicorns. *^.^*

My boyfriend, on the other hand, dislikes the doe-eyed look of the kirin. He thinks the gryphon is the most balanced, aesthetically pleasing of the three.

I don't have any windstones, not that I wouldn't mind some. I'm a nicnac collecting freak.... but hmm... looking at the pics, dragons are awfully cute, but the kirins have this really adorable appeal. I think they're much more "unique."

I love dragons and have a connection with them, but that doesn't mean I collect only dragon sculptures and such. I collect what's unique and stuff. So personally I'd pick kirin. :B

Ki-rin. Because, of the three, it's the very cutest of the bunch, all other factors being equal.

I like the dragon because I've looked often for peaceful portrayals of dragons and that is one. I also think it is the least cute of all of them, because unlike many people commenting here, I don't do cute unless it's for kids or it's a cat. Or I'm being sarcastic. I like jtbeckett's description of the dragon. If I had to pick between the gryphon and the kirin, I'd pick the gryphon. The kirin reminds me of a seahorse, and those have always been associated (for me, anyway) with major cute and really pink-loving, popular, blond girls who don't know anything about seahorses other than they're cute and who would type in all lowercase letters.

But that's just my opinion.

I think you're just plain mean to make people have to choose between the three. ;) They're all beautiful, naturally, they're Windstones. For my part though I always have to choose dragons when there's a choice. :)

I`d say a Kirin. Dragons and gyphons are too overused. Kirins are pretty and you never see em.
