So the conversation in #fleet has given me the odd urge to attempt to list and categorize as many of my personas as I can find running around in here. *taps head*
First off, the currently active ones that frequently chime in with their two cents worth and (at least in once case) sometimes want a night out on the town.
Aidan Rhiannon- Winged kleptomanic vampire. He's recently taken to insisting on his own interaction with the world, which I mostly don't mind, but it's sometimes disconcerting to realize that you actually are acting like a completely different person.
Aidan Darkangel- You know it's bad when your split personalities have split personalities, but this is Aidan's evil twin. He's a bit, er... how do I put this? Well, he's the one that's always trying to talk me into trying out something even kinkier. He wishes I were Bi. Sorry Aid, fat chance of that.
SPark the Purple Dragon- This is actually confusing, as SPark is the nickname of the "real" me, and the name I sometimes use to refer to all of us collectively. But the draconic SPark specifically is the first of my personas to get independant expression of any kind, as she's the one I first took out on the net.
Flame Song Firedancer- The fuzzy, snuggly, cuddly side of me. The character Flame Song was invented for an RPG, but Flame took on a life her her own when I started realizing that furries are better for snuggles than scalies, really.
Serapha Rhiannon- In the fictional RPG universe she's Aidan and Flame's daughter, but here inside my head, she's more like a feminine version of Aidan, being also winged, vampiric, and although not at all klepto, she /is/ a touch kinky at times...
Bladespark Trethoniel- She was inspired by Elfquest style elves, but quickly took a turn in a different direction. She's just plain silly most of the time, but a silly that's deadly with a pair of katana-like swords. And also fond of climbing trees and throwing acorns, apples, whatever at people. Definitely a manifestation of my more childish side.
Janus- Now we're fishing in the depths. I haven't seen him around lately, but he's basically an archetype. The old, wise, has seen it all and will offer good advice sort of guy. Why exactly this role in my head is male, I'm not sure. But it is.
Serali- Another dragon, but a more serious one than SPark. Spark the Purple Dragon sounds like Puff the Magic Dragon or something. Serali is an expression of a very real and serious wish to be big, powerful, and breathe fire.
Saren- A result of a foray into sci-fi that left me with another voice that woudln't get out of my head, Saren is a genetically engineered somewhat feline warrior-scout psychic.
Lauren- Saren's twin, but (if I'm not confusing them, and admittedly even I can't always tell them apart) she's more introspective and thoughtful than her imulsive sister.
Amorphous- As the name implies an even-I'm-not-sure-what. Usually a black cat, but having a tendancy to be anything black, creepy, and shadowy. Not always pleasant to lurk around in the brain. He's the more primitive dark side of me, as opposed to Darkangel's more libidinous dark side...
Macrocosm- I haven't seen her around in ages. She's a cat, also black, and before Flame Song popped up, she expressed the feline side of me. She's still in there somewhere though. *winks at fishy*
Moondancer- The oldest, save one, of my personas, Moondancer is the perpetual innocent, the child, the one still uncorrupted and unspoiled. She's a unicorn, white and purple and gold. I don't see her much these days. It's been a very long time since I was that pure... but she's still around as well. She's never going to be totally gone, no matter what happens.
Guardian- When he has a physical image, he's an oriental pale purple dragon. He's the protector. The oldest of all of us. He never speaks, he just is.
I'm leaving out a number of really old ones that aren't around at all anymore. And at least one newer one that's still developing and not really formed yet. But there's the main ones. Sheesh is my head crowded sometimes.

Date: 2003-09-10 10:27 pm (UTC)BTW, I knew I'd heard the name Janus somewhere before, and after thinking about it for a bit, I remembered. Janus (http://www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Janus_(mythology)) is the Roman God of doorways. Your little half paragraph description is hardly comprehensive, but a first-glance comparison shows a lot of similarities.
I haven't quite decided yet how disturbed I am that you've got a god floating around in your head, but having that particular god as a major facet of your personality does explain a few things...
Just remember what happened to Glych (http://www.leadheavy.com/), though, before you go thinking too hard on the subject.
