This is what I spent a good bit of today doing. Then I sat down to finish the red dragon legs, burned myself so badly on hot glue that I can only sorta use one hand, and can't sew! It's very annoying. But at least the day wasn't a total waste.

Also, I hate the flash! Oh how I long for a decent lighting setup. Flash makes pictures look icky.

Also! If anybody has any suggestions for improvement, especially on the upper, owl half, I'd love 'em. I'm going to be doing another snowy owl based gryphon shortly, and I think I want to use the same cream and brown, rather than black and white, for it. Maybe.

Do you have a mold you are using to make these? I could see them selling really really well at furry cons. It looks splendid. I can't offer much in critique, but then that is just because I think it looks awesome as is

I really like the detail of the markings.

My only critique is to variate the base fur colour so it is lighter towards the belly and darker towards the back. Maybe white on the belly, up to the chin, and around the eyes. And on the underside/tips of the feathers.

I'm not making these, just painting them! They're cast by Windstone Editions, as unpainted pieces. http://www.windstoneeditions.com/paintyourown.htm

And it's not really economical to sell at furcons, they're too high end. Unpainted this cost me $30, plus $10 in shipping, thus to even begin to make a profit I"d have to charge $50 for it, and given that it took most of two days to paint, $10 isn't any profit worth bothering with, to actually make money it would have to sell for over $100. I wouldn't sell very many at a fur con for more than $100.
