I just read a little story about myspace passwords.

http://www.wired.com/news/columns/0,72300-0.html?tw=rss.index

What I find funny is that this guy is drawing conclusions about how good password security is when he got his info for drawing those conclusions by phishing for it. As the very first comment on this points out, this isn't a representative sample, this is a sample of those who fell for a phishing attempt. (Which in this day and age, you really have to be either dense, or just not paying attention to do. It's not like they're hard to foil.) And it may not mean anything anyhow, because many of those putting in passwords might be aware that it's a phishing attempt and thus are putting in something phony. The story claims that they have only legit passwords, and yet they also claim that a certain number are less than 6 characters long, and yet somebody in the comments points out that myspace doesn't allow passwords that short.

Also, may it be noted that today I am grouchy and am liable to snap at folks. Especially if they're being idiots.
