I have kitty!

I have a cat here in my room. It is all hair I think if you trimmed it down to an equivalent volume of fur, it would be about the same size as Kalli, and Kali is a small cat, but it is a longhair, so it is all fur.
Kali is meowing at my door. She sniffed suspiciously at the cat carrier when I brought it in. I'm not sure what she thinks of the cat, but she doesn't approve at all of being shut out of here.
There is a vet appointment tomorrow, and hopefully it won't take long for them to make sure this new cat doesn't have any hideous diseases. If it does, I don't know what I'll do! But it looks healthy at least.
I'm not even sure of the gender. It's hiding in the closet, and under all that hair it's not obvious unless I want to get quite personal with it.
I have a kitty!
P.S. The poor thing has not only retreated to the closet, but has gone behind my dresses and wedged itself into a tiny crack between a duffle bag and a tub of fur. Scared kitty. Hopefully it will prove to be more outgoing once it's used to this place. It will, however, let me pet it without protest, and I'm considering briefly traumatizing it by fishing it out and checking, so I can say "he" or "she" and quit calling the cat "it."
