Kitty cold war

I have a cold war situation going on around my feet. I sit on the bed, with my laptop on my nightstand, and type and sew and goof off on the net. Underneath this same bed Tari is lurking, though she comes out from time to time. Meanwhile Kali keeps hovering just inside the door, where she can see Tari, but where my feet are between the two.

I call it a cold war situation because there is a lot of glaring, and eyeing from a distance, and a good bit of noise and threatening and bushing up to look bigger, and even the occasional swipe taken, but no actual blows have landed.

I think Kali is jealous now. I petted Tari, then I came out and saw her in the hall, and petted her some too, and she immediately went into the room and took a swipe at Tari.

Silly cats. If you would both get along, I could pet you both at once, and you'd get twice the pettings!
