I thought furries were the queens of drama.

This is not so. BJD owners are the queens of drama. So not even kidding here. I've seen more drama in a few months of hanging about BJD forums than in years of time spent around furries.

But now conference is on, so I go from drama to spiffy religious stuff. *wanders off*

BJD?

I'm sorry, but the REAL queens of drama are rat owners. LORD can they cause drama.

Ball Joint Dolls, like my bishie (http://bladespark.topcities.com/yuu11.jpg).

Seriously. They are currently having this huge drama fest, with the board owner threatening lockdowns and bannings, over face makeup on dolls. That's drama!

Which board? O_O

Loose Joints. Which, ironically enough, tends to be the least drama-ridden and most laid back board, at least in my opinion. But it's still got it's share of arguments, and this one really has me rolling my eyes.

Though the bashing on DoD and DoA there also makes me roll my eyes. I'd prefer to find a board that totally ignores the existance of those two, frankly. If I want to see DoA lame or DoD wank, I can go to DoA or DoD.

I read through that and went " ... this has got to be an april fool's joke," and then I saw that it was created yesterday, so ... I don't know? sheesh. Like most fandoms, I will play quietly in my corner and ignore the drama whores.

Hee. Yeah, it was there yesterday, and the argument already starting.

On the other hand, the renaming of the board's areas for April Fool's made me laugh muchly! Euclidian Geometry! Hee!

Th renaming made me cackle happily, yeah. XD

I actually simply haven't gone back to Loose Joints in... a while, because I'm still a leetle too sensitive to certain topics. So... I had no idea this was going on. Bah.

Aww, that sucks. Still-kinda-newbie impression by me is that although it has lots of lame on the fringes, most people there are quite nice.

I do wish there was a doll community I could actually feel at home in, but I doubt I'd ever find one. Loose Joints'll have to do until then. I get the urge to bite people on DoD too much, and DoA is just to... fluffy for me.

I tend to not feel welcome anywhere (except in [livejournal.com profile] acww_adult), but I know that's just my own neuroses nailing me. It is, however, acute stress, which just makes me viciously sick, hence the avoidance of Loose Joints. 6.6;;

I don't even bother with DoD, and on DoA I avoid everything started by unoa_im_a_freak, who I just want to walk up to and slaughter with a rusty spoon for being a fuckwit. (Little judgemental yes but every post by that person makes me want to hurt things.)

In any group that big there's bound to be at least one... 'tis the problem with DoA right there, it's too big.

True enough. :/ If I had a doll of my own I'd start my own BJD forum, but without one, I kinda feel there's no point.

Fucking poverty. -_-;

Heh. Yeah, tell me about it. If this next month doesn't go better than the last one, I'll be doll-less, because I'll have to sell mine.

Bleah.

*hugs* >.< Here's to hoping. No one should have to give up their doll!

Well, in person he turned out to not be perfect for the character I wanted, so it wouldn't leave me totally heartbroken, but I don't want to have to sell him until I can get a replacement.

What one are you going to go for instead?

I'm considering a Latidoll Red boy, not sure which one.

My thing is that I want a boy doll that looks at least slightly masculine. Aidan is supposed to be a prettyboy, yes, but not a transvestite, he's still male!

So that really narrows down my options, as most bjd boys are realy quite feminine. The Latidoll ones are really male looking, and I like that, but I don't know how I feel about the bodies they have, and I've no idea if one of their heads would match the Dollzone body in skin tone or if the slight size difference will be a problem. Of course they're a little more expensive than the Dollzone dolls too. Dunno, still thinking about it. I won't be able to buy one for quite some time. Even if things are good this coming month, I have other things I need to get first.
