I've bailed out of Jaxpad.

Why? Because my stuff keeps getting flagged as inappropriate. Irregularly, frustratingly, and nonsensically so!

You see, they have this rule, about it needing to be "anthro." So it can't just be animal art, or people art, it has to be animal people.

But they don't enforce it regularly AT ALL. Winged non-anthro wolves, fine! Non-anthro griffins, fine! Non-anthro dragons, all good! A non-anthro unicorn, sorry, bzzzzzzt! It's an animal, has to go! Humans in fursuits fine, humans wearing tails with a butt shot showing the tail, fine. Human wearing a tail in a photo that shows the human's face? Bzzzzzzzzzzt! It's a human, has to go!

Frankly, if I'd got the impression that it was going to be strictly anthro-only, I probably wouldn't have joined in the first place. My gallery was full of... well... non-anthro plushes, loonakits, non-anthro Windstones, stuff like that. Why some got flagged and others didn't, I really don't understand, and it was driving me crazy. And as the only actual "anthro" art I do 99% of the time is fursuits, I decided that I get enough publicity for those on lj and deviant art, so there's no point in getting this kind of frustration from a dinky little gallery like jaxpad, so I bailed. I'm gone. Not going back, either.

As another artist that thinks outside the box on anthro art....I too have had a similiar incident with furAffinity. It all boils down to the mood of the person that comes across your piece. They may think it is not anthro but that may not be true if you ask 20 other people.

I thought FA allowed non anthro now? I sure see enough humans on there...

You say you see stuff up on Jaxpad that is just as "non anthro" but it gets to stay while yours is rejected? I call "playing favorites" and it exists on FA.

I see MY STUFF, that's just as non anthro. I put up two things, both are totally non anthro, both are mine, one is accepted, one is flagged. That's what's driving me nuts. It's not even playing favorites, it's just being insanely inconsistent.

Yes. I agree. Thats what happens when there is no status quo set all across the board of a site's moderators. IF they set a standard and everyone sticks to it, than this would not happen and it would be less aggravating.

I have some fursuit stuff on Jaxpad - but I haven't added to it in forever... I don't even remember my username or password... Anyhow, I didn't know it had to be anthro art, is this a new policy?

I've no idea. I didn't notice any such policy when I signed up, but there is a policy up on their site now. I didn't see any announcements about it, so I've no idea if I just missed it, or if it's new.

Such is the whims of the mob. Or whichever member of the mob happens by your art at that particular time. Best to let them sort things out and go somewhere else.

Considering that they were jerks and all, good riddance to the lot of them! But I'm sorry that you wasted your time on a good gallery...
