Woe!

My pony has cancer. *sniffles* I'm so sad!

There's a thing called "pony cancer" you get on older ponies. Apparently it's a mold of some sort, as it spreads, and can contaminate one pony from another, and the spread is stopped with bleach. But the effects of the stuff on plastic are permanent, the bleach won't remove them. It leaves brownish discolored spots behind, and although this isn't a really bad case of it, it's a very pale pony, so they're still terribly obvious.

This annoys me, because I have a pony that's already the perfect color for the next custom job I've got, but I have to repaint him anyhow, because of the cancer spots! It's very irritating. I'm going to give airbrushing him a try, maybe, which should give a smoother result for less effort, but even so I'm still really annoyed at having to paint him at all. It makes doing the entire custom job harder at every single step! Bah. Stupid pony cancer.

Oh noes! D:
Don't send him in for chemo either! Or you might be giving him all new hair, too!
(sorry, bad joke... I just can't resist these opportune moments)

Well, he's actually quite bald, in preparation for re-hairing. So if there was such a thing as pony chemo for it, he'd be fine. *chuckles*

Hmmmm... I have no idea what happens to a pony in the microwave. You can boil 'em without hurting them, but I suspect that they microwave would damage them eventually. Especially my microwave, which has a hot spot of DOOM.

I swear it wouldn't be that hard to develop a microwave that /aimed/ it's beam of heat. Have a few thermal imaging cameras, a bit of processing power to calculate where to aim, and some motors to aim the beams... fairly simple.

At least, that's what /I/ think.

The brown ones on his back legs, yes. The bright colored and black ones were marker, came right off. But he is a cancerous pony.

If it's killed by bleach, it'll probably be killed by boiling for 15 minutes and wiping down with 70% ethanol (buy 150 rum). Also, cancer is not contagious... why not call it something like leprosy? (Skin disease, highly contagious.)

I know what you mean. They look all fleabitten and speckled. It's sad. You know, I've got a flutter pony somewhere. It's not one of the type you'd listed, but I'd be willing to part with it. It's yellow with a pale pink mane and tail, IIRC. I'll probably find it while moving. Would you like me to send it if it doesn't have Teh Cancer?

Well, it's not one I've after, so it'd be either getting redone as a custom, or getting swapped with somebody else. So if you like it at all, go ahead and keep it, but if you really don't want it, I'd be happy to take it.

I'm not attached to it. It's one that was somehow missed when I gave the collection to my nieces. It's just been floating around in boxes ever since. If I find it while moving, it's yours and you can do whatever you want to it. :)
