I ganked this weird little meme from [livejournal.com profile] dollykat, and I was shocked and amazed at the results. Apparently this Career Cruising service may actually be useful for some people, because, well, go have a look-see at my results:

1. Go to http://www.careercruising.com/.
2. Put in Username: nycareers, Password: landmark.
3. Take their "Career Matchmaker" questions.
4. Post the top ten results

1. Costume Designer
2. Special Effects Technician
3. Jeweler
4. Potter
5. Craftsperson
6. Fashion Designer
7. Sign Maker
8. Desktop Publisher
9. Cartoonist / Comic Illustrator
10. Makeup Artist

The top result is what I'm doing and what I always wish to keep doing, and other than 6 and 10, everything else on there is something I've dabbled in or considered trying to learn.

An awesome way to probably be broke. *grins* For every Gabe and Tycho or Bill Watterson or Stan Lee there are thousands of people who never get anywhere with comics, and I get the feeling that while web design may not quite be so hard to make money at, the bits where you deal with total morons wanting you to do the impossible make the slightly better pay come out about the same, really.
