This is just a notice to anybody who communicates with me over IM. I am sick of getting IM spam. I consider a message to be spam if it is obvious that it's sent to your entire friends list, rather than addressed specifically to me. If you want to say something to the whole world, post it on your livejournal. If you want to say something to me than have the decency to write me a personal message. IMs are not message boards, they are for personal communication, and I find it highly irritating to get up from what I'm doing, go over to the computer, and see that the message that interrupted me was some piece of spam sent out to the whole world, rather than a message for me personally.
From now on I will be blocking anybody who sends me obvious spam, no exceptions.
