Specifically, I'm commissioning a Guardian dragon from creaturesfromel. GO LOOK at her awesome stuff. OMG awesome! And her style is exactly suited to doing Guardian. Glee!

Yup, I got your payment. I think the only question I have is when you say like a raccoon, you just mean striped like a raccoon, and not shaped fat like a raccoon, yes? The drawing is shaped like a snow leopard, so I assume so.

Shaped like a snow leopard, yes, not fat like a raccoon. As far as staying true to the design otherwise, don't bother too much, that's mostly for general idea. Do what looks good to you, as far as spacing and such. You likely have actual experience with things where as I just slapped something together in a drawing program.
