Okay, maybe everybody isn't a goober. I feel a little better. Still kind of stressed over work, but when am I not? I shall manage to get everything done one way or another. Now... shall I try and sell Loonakits on furbid again? Or finish up some more tails? Decisions, decisions. In any case, I have a plush to make, and a head to start furring, so my day is busybusy, as usual. And I may fit a little more Diablo in there somewhere too.

Did you know that originally goober meant peanut? I found that out when I worked at the children's museum.

I like peanuts. But they're best with chocolate. Or in chocolate peanutbutter ice cream. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Or reeses cups. I have some, left over from Halloween. I should go eat one.

I think calling people goobers is funny though! Or "nimrods," though I save that for people who are seriously idiots and think they're all that.

It's a really obscure guy in the Old Testament. The "great hunter" Nimrod. It sounds so insulting to say "nimrod" and because of the "great hunter" bit it's what I call somebody who's really full of himself.

Not exactly a nice name to have, Nimrod, but he seems to have been sort of a one-shot, luckily. After the project that he was rumored to have completed, I can see where the name fell out of fashion.

Also, while not a goober (I keep getting Fraggle Rock flashes when I hear that, even though I know they're Doozers, not goobers), I am someone who is pretty silly. Wouldn't be able to tell stories otherwise.

I knew goober too, but only because my mom used to call people "goobers" if they had heads that looked remarkably similar in shape to a peanut...

I also knew Nimrod but only by my late teens I think, when I happened across it on some public TV/educational show on religion or the bible. I likes studying about a lot of stuff, I does. ^_-

I thought it was funny though because my mom ALSO used to use "nimrod" to call people morons, goofs, fools, etc when I was a kid. Just sorta took certain words for granted, and then found it hilarious to know where they came from.
