Vacation time!
Nov. 16th, 2007 11:57 pmI am packed, money deposited in the bank, reservations made at the hotel, and everything else is ready to go. I just need to clean out the catbox and refill the cat's dishes, and we will be ready to depart first thing tomorrow morning for a mini-vacation!
We're going to Portland, which is just a few hours' drive from here. We'll be hitting the West Coast Captive Breeders Expo, which is the ostensible reason for the trip. There, should I be lucky enough to find one that suits me within my price range, I may purchase a rainbow boa. We also have plans for a trip to Ruth's Chris, quite possibly the best restraunt in all of Portland, certainly the best steak I've ever had. And somewhere in there we'll be hitting OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry, very cool!) and a rather fun mall, where I may actually buy some clothes, and Powell's books, where I will definitely leave with my wallet lighter and my arms burdened down with books. We'll be staying at the Ace hotel, which is a new hotel in a refurbished old building with interesting art and period artifacts in the rooms.
It's just a two day trip, but I'm very much looking forward to it.
So anyhow, I won't be about again until Sunday night. Bye!
