More snake photos!

I got all the stuff I need for the new snake's tank setup today, though I need to get a second hide, the pet store had jack all for small hides, just an ugly, overpriced half coconut with a hole in it. So for now he has a cardboard tube for one hide, and Anthony's outgrown fake rock for the other. If you can't see any snake in this photo, look closer, he's there.


Yup. He wasn't in there half an hour when he figured out how to get up into the lid.



While I had the camera out, I snapped a fresh photo of Anthony. You can compare it to the first photo of him in that tank, right here. He's grown quite a bit since then! And to give you some sense of the scale of the two snakes, they have pretty much identical tanks, other than having different lids. They're within a few inches of each other in length (the new one is 17", though he doesn't look it, while Anthony is around 20") but Anthony is probably five or six times as thick.

Anthony is looking to be a very happy, healthy snake. He looks positively vibrant!

Yes. I'm leaning towards naming him something to do with warmth or fire, because of the warm colors he has.

Is there a ledge between the lid and tank? How the heck is he stayin' up there? xD

Yup, there's a kind of groove there, I think in a fish tank it's meant to hold the lid, but this tank has a different kind of lid, a snake would push up a fish lid and get out too easily.
