Costumes are made, everything is packed, tickets and numbers and reservations are all double checked. Taxi is coming at 8am, for a very long day of travel to cover a not-so-long distance. (I expect to reach the hotel around 7pm, for 11 hours to get from Corvallis, Oregon to San Jose, California. If I didn't have to take a series of taxis and buses to reach the Eugene Airport, and then could get a direct flight rather than hopping around, I could do it in like... three hours, tops. *sigh* Oh well. I'm the one who decided on a line of work where I can't afford a car (and then went and got too neurotic to drive one anyhow, not that I can be blamed for that, really.)

So I'm signing off to get some sleep, and probably won't have net access, or at least not much of it, until fairly late Monday evening. Wish me luck, everybody!

(And to anybody reading this who's waiting on a tail commission, I'm taking most of them along with me, to sew while I attend panels. So I should be finishing up most of them this weekend. Sorry for those of you who have been waiting a while, but this month has been insane. Literally.)

Er. I've already reserved my hotel and have a roommate, so I can't cancel it, and I'd have to get a taxi, which is $$$$$$$$ for that kind of distance! If you want to drop by the convention at some point and say hi, go ahead though. You can check out all the crazy costumes that will be wandering the halls. I'll probably manage to check e-mail while I'm there, so you can drop me a note or a comment here, and arrange a time. (Or do you have my phone number? I forget. JJ does, if you can't reach me, he'll give it to you and you can call.) It's at the San Jose Doubletree.

Well, I kinda meant like, after the convention, but I suppose that would mean changing your plane ticket. Man, wish I'd known you were headed to San Jose earlier! Didn't know that's where the con was. Oh well. Alex mentioned there's another Con down here you guys usually drive to? When/where is that?

There's Further Confusion, in January, but I always fly to that one too. We talked about driving, but it's quite a trip, and JJ doesn't always care to go.
