Like everything lately she is way overdue, the swap ended about a month ago. :P But she's done now, and I'll be mailing her out asap.

I had a real problem getting her colors right in the photo, I don't like how she looks on a light background, but on a dark background the flash washes her out way too much. But of course without flash photos tend to be pretty blurry. I may try to take a few more before I ship her. She came out very nicely though!

If you can get a tripod, that'll help with non-flash photos. The blurriness comes from wobbling the camera while it takes a longer-than-normal exposure to collect enough light. You can get cheap tripods for $20-30 and they should be entirely adequate.

Yeah. I opt for the "brace camera on knee/the floor" method a lot, but if you're taking a lot of photos in the same area a tripod is a better idea.

You can also try using a higher ISO, though be warned most point and shoots get hella grainy as you up the ISO due to cheap sensors (mine doesn't do well over 200).

If your camera keeps underexposing things and it's on a partially automatic mode, see if you can mess with exposure compensation (with PowerShots, it's that plus/minus thingy that goes in thirds). Mine I find I have to turn it down as it has a habit of doing the reverse.
