Yay sprites
May. 30th, 2010 04:19 amThis is what I did with my evening:

My afternoon was spent on regular sewing work, but honestly I've been doing so much sewing the last couple of weeks I was bored stiff. So, beading instead! These were all commissions too. Man, I love getting paid for bead sprites. Making them is practically meditative, and such a nice break from sitting and sewing. (I stand when I do them, my spriting "table" is the tops of some fur fabric tubs and it's at a good height for standing.) I'm sure if I did enough of them I'd get sick of it too, but for now they really are a nice break. Variety is the spice of life, etc., etc.
Anyhow, hoping to get commissioned for another batch of these. And having discovered Mystery Dungeon sprites, I'm having a ball with them. They're way nicer art than the main game battle thumbnail sprites, but way smaller than the main game full size sprites, which are often absurdly large and expensive to do. http://www.spriters-resource.com/ds/pkmndungeon2/index.html <--Mystery Dungeon sprites there, for anybody that might want one. :D They're nearly all $5 or $6, except for a few of the biggest pokemon.

FA is back! Art contest is on
Dec. 8th, 2009 11:51 pmFA is back! So anybody who wants to sneak in a last minute art contest entry now has 24 hours to do so. After that it'll finally be over, I'll announce the winners, and start working on the prizes. :)
I might not actually get prizes done for Christmas, just FYI. Between this shoulder thing and the contest being delayed a week I don't think I'll have the time. But they will be done in a timely fashion.
