Drew this today. Today being my day off, of course I don't actually take the day off, I just work on fun stuff instead of paid. XD Although really it's amazing how much more enjoyable something can be to draw when there's no pressure to do so. On the other hand, a lot of the time when there's no pressure, I blow it off and do nothing, so... *shrug*

Anyhow! The art.

Totally pleased with the pose and the line art. Not so thrilled about the colors. I need another shade of blue, for one thing. Also I hate lettering. Bleah. But anyhow, overall very happy with it.

Edit: See, here's the linework without the color or text. Hopefully you can see what I mean about it being quite nice. :D

Love it! :D I like the movement in it's pose. The coloring of the animal also has a lot of draw to it. Very realistic.

I love to do lettering. I worked in the sign making field for a while. I still can't draw lettering well. HOWEVER, a good book is this: http://tinyurl.com/ylzs4ql I bought it at AC Moore, I think. I had a coupon. Anyway, it shows fancy crap with flowers and stuff but it also has straight forward instruction on nice, simple, clean lettering. I use it to draw lettering for my comic and the occasional con badge. :)

Both look quite lovely, but I can understand what you mean by wanting another shade of blue.
