I hadn't *meant* to put any background at all on this, but after a billion poses, none of which looked good, I ended up trying this "king of the hill" pose, (well, actually queen) and it worked, so I kind of had to color the huge rock there, it looked really unfinished with the dragon done but the rock blank. But when the rock was done, it was very bright, it popped way more than the dragon did. So great, I've just made a picture of a rock, which happens to have a dragon on it. Not good! So then of course the only solution was the color the background in similar colors to the rock, so that the dragon's color would make it pop more. So I did.

I had a lot of fun with the sky texture. I used to try so hard to make sky perfectly smooth, but with colored pencils it just isn't happening, so this time I said "screw that" and used the texture. I like how it came out, myself. Hopefully the person it's for will like it as much.

Awesome. The rock and dragon are very well done - as is your usual. The background does give it depth. The texture makes it appears as if there are flames not just a sunrise/set there.
