I decided I really should draw some vampire art. But drawing people getting bitten is hard! This came out all right, but I'm not entirely happy with it.

YinWolf, the masochistic cyborg herm wolf is always happy to share hir blood with Andrew, the vampiric kirin-muntjak hybrid. (Sometimes I feel like such a Mary-Sue.)

Whatever gives you inspiration to keep drawing! I keep looking for something wrong, but it's actually quite good. Maybe the biter's nose is ever so slightly off-center? Maybe not. I think it's very good, but only you know what you intended to draw, so I can't see what might be different than what you imagined.

I found out one of my friends is a furry artist and has sold a lot of work and occasionally gets asked to do panels at cons. She hasn't had the motivation to draw much lately, and she finally got out of her funk, but it was through something of her own rather than any commission work. You might know her as K'sharra (Rebekah Stohldrier). She showed me some of her stuff and it's really quite good. If you look her up, be warned; she's done a fair amount of porn commissions.

I'm pretty used to seeing furry porn by now. :) (Though I do rather wish FA had three viewing options. It' maddening, because they have three content levels, adult, mature, and general, but only two filters, general only, and everything.)

Oh, and I think I may have seen her at FC. I've certainly seen some of her work before. :) It's good stuff.

I think the Andrew's face looks flat-- almost like a piece of paper lying on YinWolf's neck.

The problem with you saying this is that does not help me fix it.

this is about 2 months too late.. but... for the turute.. prehaps have he biter's lip drawn up slightly... it might make it look a big 'vicious' but a more pronounced view of teeth might help 'break up' the side of the muzzle, and make it look more like an opened maw then a closed mouth with fangs popping out. Plus, it's natural enough to peel back our lips when going to bite something. (pretend you're about to bite into an apple and see where your lip is in reference to your teeth.)

Also, Andrew's mouth would have to be considerably open to be able to bite the wolf's neck.. yet it doesn't reflect this at all...

This doesn't tell you HOW it's flat, exactly, but perhaps it's a nudge in the right direction. :)
