I've started occasionally dropping by the local asian market. It has many delicious things! But with so much of the text in languages I don't speak, finding new things is, uh... quite an adventure. So I thought I'd ask for suggestions. What delicious asian goodies do you guys know of?

I already know of pocky (of course!) and mochi (am eating some right now!) and ramune, and botan candy, but not much else. So what should I look for next time I'm there?

Lots! Dragonfruit is always a good one! They also have this gummy candy that is similar to gum, but more like starbursts. Tasty! and they have these little koala kinda animal cracker, and octopus ones filled with chocolate in the middle! Another thing is marble pop, where you have to pop the marble down to drink the pop... so cool! XD I am such a nerd!

well ill be damned. i googled it and sure enough, its a brand. my mistake. Ramune is the same sort of thing but a better known brand, i think.

Ramune is the coke of the marble soda world and Marble Pop is more like the Royal Crown cola of the marble soda world. There are lots of "off brands" versions of the marble sodas, and they're fun to explore! You find more flavors that way. :3 This ends your public service announcement. XD

i was under the impression that Marble Pop was based off of Ramune...which was the original. could be mistaken but i thought i read that somewhere. ive had a few Ramune flavours and i love em. <3

Bao. In just about all of its forms. Steamed buns are awesome.

If you like Pocky, Glico also makes Pretz, which do not have the fudge-y coating, but are also different flavors of pretzel stick.

If you can find a good melon drink, you'll be set from there on out, I think.

Wasabi peas (http://www.asianfoodgrocer.com/img/prods/snacks/pea/kwpea.jpg) and dried squid in a bag (http://s9.thisnext.com/media/230x230/Wel-Pac-Saki-Ika-Hot-dried_0B4517AD-addictive!-pink.jpg) [any flavor, and I promise its not as scary as it sounds] are both personal faves. Also any candy thats rose flavored.
