I wonder if you could get work creating plush prototypes for the production companies? You're certainly good enough at creating awesome plushes. I guess the rub would be knowing what could be easily and quickly reproduced with automated techniques.
Given that the overwhelming majority of commercially made plushes are made in China, and that I know of at least one generally available computer program that unfolds 3-d shapes into sewable patterns for you, I suspect it's not a terribly high-paying job.
