bladesparkMy brother is getting married. When I left for my trip he wasn't even dating anybody, and now he's engaged. I hope it works out for him, but I have to say that I'm a bit dubious here...
Then again, he's known the girl for forever, she's a friend of my little sister. Still, a month is a bit short of a dating period. I mean really... I've known fishy for well over a month, in person, and I still don't feel I know everything about what he's like.

Date: 2005-08-02 05:51 pm (UTC)Personally I wouldn't want to get engaged again before dating a person for at least a year. Even a year is not a long time and you don't fully know the person, but you have a pretty good idea what they're like by that point. These 6 month courtships before marriage is just asking for trouble IMHO.
