This is the curse of doing art for your job. You feel so guilty when you have ideas for original art and you work on them, because surely if you can stand to do any sewing you should be working and not goofing off! But really sewing things that inspire you can be as much of a break as doing something not sewing entirely. :) So yesterday I finished my required work quite early and decided to take a "break" and sew something just for fun.

Scale pic:

This is basically a test pattern, if I did another, I'd tweak it a bit. But it came out pretty cute. Not sure what I'll do with it. I might sell it. I probably will make another because I realized right as I was finishing it that I'd done the wrong pony. It should have been Applejack! Appletini!
I also realized after it was too late that I'd done her hair wrong. *sigh* Nobody's perfect, I guess! :D
Anyhow, she's four inches tall so she really is very tiny. And while I'd love to do commissions of these, she took long enough I'd have to charge like... $40. I don't know that anybody would pay $40 for a four inch tall pony. Still, it was fun to do! Making Applejack will be fun also.
Now back to cutting out fabric for like... 50 tails that I need to somehow finish in between other projects during the next two weeks. Yay con prep.

It was quite a lot of work making her, yeah. Turning the little bitty pieces right side out, and trying to make eyes that tiny were particularly annoying. I need to find a better way of making little eyes.
