TCU declassified.
Aug. 7th, 2005 08:28 pmSome of you may have noticed, a few months ago, that I was working on someting called Project TCU. Well, the project was successfully unveiled at BoardieCon 05, the first weekend of July, so it is now declassified and available for your viewing pleasure.

Project TCU was the brainchild of admirals JJ and Loweko, pictured there. (JJ's the short, cute one, Low is the ridiculously tall one.) JJ had long ago designed a FLEET uniform, and I had created a goofy T-shirt version of it, but as I started to improve my sewing skills, they approached me with the idea of doing the uniforms for real.
It wasn't easy, and in fact my own uniform, done first as a kind of test, is a mess and really should be done over. They uniforms are loosely based off of the Star Trek Original Series movies uniforms, but with quite a few modifications.

And many things to Pseudowolf and Soleta, whose photos of the event I stole. I didn't have any pics of my own.

Date: 2005-08-08 03:22 am (UTC)Those costumes look really, really, good. I'm sure we'll see them appearing at more BC's, as well, possibly, as some other places, just to see what someone would do if they saw someone in a FLEET uniform going about their daily tasks?
