Second: Okay, I actually have to read this fic.
I've read the Good Omens book and enjoyed these two; haven't caught the TV series. I have always imagined that pair were in an ongoing friendship, though, which the book makes clear exists in a "We shouldn't really be doing this in front of other people, but nobody's going to make us not know each other" way.

The series leans a little harder into the "shipping" aspect of it (the actor who plays Aziraphale has said both that he played Aziraphale as being in love, and that he reads fanfiction, which is fun) but it's still very much a tension rather than a realized thing. I can never resist a ship with such good chemistry, though, which this ever so much has.
