Black Friday, writing news, etc.
Nov. 29th, 2019 11:19 amFirst of all, I should say that though I'm not doing anything personally for Black Friday, my publisher is having a sale, so all my queer romance books, e-book or paperback, are currently on sale.
Stephanie Park at JMS Books.
In other news, I've been writing HFY (Humanity Fuck Yeah) stories again, which is the genre of sci-fi in which humans are either ultimately badass in a galaxy of fragile and/or timid aliens, or just plain weird and considered crazy by everybody. (The "classic" stories are mostly greentext/tumblr posts, but there is of course plenty of published sci-fi that falls into this sub-genre. These days, though, there's a fun community for it on reddit, where I've posted all my stories of this type so far.)
Just finished a silly thing about neighborhood disputes, and how humanity's evolutionary past as persistence hunters left a mental legacy as well as a physical one. Which is to say, the poor alien finds out that the human neighbor she's offended will be trying to take petty revenge against her until the end of time.
That'll be out on Patreon on Monday, and up on reddit (which I'll link here) sometime towards the end of next week.
Got another one titled "Bears in the Woods" that features no ursines at all that'll be out after that. :D
