I am hosting the Write Every Day challenge for the month of December. So welcome to the new folks following me for that.

For those of you who already follow me but don't know about it, Write Every Day is a low-pressure writing challenge, meant to help you get good writing habits. There is no word minimum and no topic requirements, you can write as much or as little as you like, on whatever subject you like. It is also not a "fail out" challenge, if you miss a day, you can totally check in on any of the following days.

I did it last month when [personal profile] silveradept was hosting, and missed five or six days at least, but I still think it helped.

I'll be posting once every day (at about this time, if I can) for folks to check in, and will keep a running tally so you can see how you're doing. You can feel free to tell me how many words you wrote and what about, or you can just say that you wrote.

Let's all get some things written in December!

Hi! *waves* Thanks so much for hosting in December!! \o/

I'm in the middle of a seven-part time travel fic series, with five down, #6 nearly a completed first draft and #7 verrry vaguely outlined. My plan for December is to finish those off and write a couple of Yuletide treats (and maybe something else off my to-write list). Everything is Guardian fanfic atm. *points to icon* :-)

I'm in New Zealand, so a day ahead of most people. Do you mind if I check in for my-todays? I know it can make the tallying a little complicated. (If you are okay with that, I wrote on 1 December: more or less figured out the ending to #6 and started writing it out.)

I'm really enjoying the time travel! In my series, I'm sending a different character back in each one, to see what they'll do and how they'll change things (and to practise different POVs). It's a lot of fun, and a challenge to keep them from being repetitive. I don't think I've ever tried a time loop in the Groundhog Day sense, though. Hmm... :-)

You can absolutely check in earlier.

Awesome -- thanks! <3

Is it okay to post if it's the end of the 1st here?

1/12: some editing, ~50 new words on that

Hey! Thank you for hosting - I've just finished NaNo but I'm trying to keep the momentum going. I'm working on a long Person of Interest fic, and some shorter stuff. And my [community profile] yuletide fic, hopefully.

I'm like [personal profile] china_shop - can I check for Day 1 too? I only wrote 120 words. NaNo finished yesterday and I fell in a bit of a heap but I got something done at least.

Hi, thank you for hosting! I haven't been checking in lately, but I thought I'd try again. I've done very little writing this year even though I haven't skipped a day yet, but I've got several deadlines coming up.

How lovely to see you around again we missed you! ♥ I hope things, particularly writing, are going to go better for you now. *hugs*

Thanks muchly! I've missed everyone too, but couldn't deal with having nothing to report but alibi sentence upon alibi sentence. It's been the worst writing year I had since I started keeping track. I hope I can turn things around in December so I can start the next year with a better feeling.

Hi, and thank you for hosting WED this month! *waves* If you've got any question about hosting, doing the tally or whatever else, please feel free to ask any of us!

I'm in Germany but a total night owl, so my checking in might be all over the place. I've also done NaNo and am now sorting through my various writing projects to see what inspires me most to work at until I get my assignment for My Slashy Valentine later this month, a Tolkien-centric fic exchange which is my main fannish event most years.

By the way, the hosting of January is already covered; [personal profile] sylvanwitch and I are hosting it together on our joint account [personal profile] zwei_hexen. As some of us long-time participants like to plan ahead, [personal profile] cornerofmadness has offered for Feburary and [personal profile] sakana17 for March. We have tentative offers after that, but none of this is set in stone anyway.
