Hello all! I'm still trucking away slowly on my Jingleclop fic. Since it has a hard deadline it's kind of tabled everything else. It has to be finished! Also have something for a Thurston Howl anthology open to edit. I haaaaaaaaaate re-writes and large edits. Fixing typos is fine, or awkward sentences or whatever, but changing anything more than that is such a headache. But it's got to be done!

Unrelatedly, (other than "in the category of things that need to be done") I loooooaaaaathe embroidery machines, and sewing machines in general. If I have to re-hoop this damn thing and start over one more time, I'll be tempted to yeet the whole mess out the window.

I added 403 to the Bond/Q story. This is an angle I haven't looked at them from before, and I'm enjoying the new perspective.

13 Dec: 334 words and a bunch of edits on time travel fic #7.
14 Dec: 757 more words on ttf #7 and the gradual realisation that this scene is laborious to write because it's dull, and I need to backtrack and find a better angle of attack. *long-suffering sigh* (It's not utterly terrible? But it would probably be better if I swapped out one of the participants for any other character, chosen at random, so I mean...)

Another 30 mins writing up notes - have definitely recorded everything from the most recent notebook, double-checking the notebook before that. Tried to pick a scene to write and I'm failing at focusing so I should probably sleep instead of try for new words.

Dec 13: 200 words, longhand, before work started, while I was waiting for the building doors to unlock. Which is 200 words more than I got done the previous two days, and I'm calling it a win.

I've never used an embroidery machine but I am familiar with the desire to yeet a project out the window.

My day was ultimately annoying and I'm stuck on my spicy advent story with the hard deadline (I'm officially at the bored with sex writing stage) I did get 333 words on it though + 432 on Come Undone

Why is it that nearly all sexy stories go through that "ugh, I really have to write more sex?" stage? You'd think the subject would be interesting to write, but no. Doing over 300 on something stuck like that is great, not to mention the Come Undone bit! :3

Day 13 - 140ish words. I started the day with a pair of Silm sentences, and was afraid I was going to have to go with only them as amnesty sentences for the day, but then I got an idea for the HLH piece which turned into 120 words. Not entirely sure where it goes, but that’s all right. I can figure that out later.

Day 13: still tacking on a few more words at the end of the day, which is still more than I would be doing if it weren't for WED. These slow trudges have to get us somewhere eventually, as long as we keep trudging, right?
