Write Every Day, December 19th

One more day for me to work on Jingleclop, yikes! I am *right* at the end of the main sex scene, and then I just need a few hundred words of wrap up, and if I have the time, another few hundred of comedy stinger at the end. I know I can do it. Heck, before the toddler ate my brain and life, 4k was a reasonable goal for a day, 400 is certainly doable.

In other news, my day has been great! The brainweasels eased off some, and I finally got my mead out of the fermenting jug. It turned out *perfectly!* Turns out the secret to good mead is to forget you're making mead and leave it in the back of the closet for a year, apparently. (I mean, I didn't entirely forget, I just never remembered when I had time/space to do anything about it.) I made this mead last Solstice, and I'll be drinking some of it (I made a whole gallon, so not all of it!) on this Solstice. :3 I wrote down the recipe too, so I can repeat it, hopefully.

So let's hope the good luck with the mead leads to good luck with the story?

Today I did some additional canon revision for my Yuletide fic (because when I'm stuck on something, going back to canon is almost always the answer), and also wrote a few snippets. Hopefully all of this will pay off tomorrow.

Intended tonight to be an exercise in writing out a day in the life sketch for one POV character, then realized I never finished figuring out the school schedule. So I spent the whole 30 minutes plotting out the other POV character's schedule as a student and the first POV character's schedule as a teacher. Raised a question or two (some of the background characters are going to end up needing names and specific jobs even if only off screen, I can tell) but now I have it for reference.

Day 19 - 400+ words. 200+ on the HLH, which one of my betas/cheerleaders looked over and liked, and it really does seem to be coming together, finally. Hopefully one more day of work and it will be done.

The other 200+ words were on the Fan Flashworks piece which is also the SWG Season's Greetings piece, and I got it wrapped up and posted to FFworks. Will post to SWG on Saturday, most likely.

Writing is still not happening much for me - 91 words of pure alibi sentence yesterday, but I'm glad I wrote them. At least I'm starting to "feel" like writing again, and I might even have written more yesterday, but was busy with baking, decorating and cleaning. I also got an early glimpse of what might be my assignment for the MSV challenge (the mod was asking if I might consider writing that request and I said yes) which got me back into some story ideas I'm mulling over.
I've also decided to no longer be stressed, just busybusybusy. Perhaps that'll make a difference as well.

I landed a December Days post, although I think I didn't have as clear an idea going on as I usually do for this one, so it fought me a touch. And also, possibly, those several episodes of S4 She-Ra weren't helping me deliver a quality post on time.

He hehe. It's very easy to "waste" one's time that way. I watch a lot of silly kid's content with the goober these days. Then again, it's not entirely wasted. All input can be useful somehow.

It was entirely enjoyable, and often times, I can let writing background while I do something else and then when I get back to it, there's more words to put on it.
