Or happy Passover, though I know that's already done with, or happy spring. Whichever!

We celebrated Easter in a four-year-old's favorite way, by hunting chocolate easter eggs. :D I hid a pretty generous amount, and I keep telling the kiddo that she doesn't have to eat them all this morning, but she insists that she wants to. We're about a third of the way in right now. He he he.

I'd say "she's going to be so hyper!" but a.) the sugar=hyper thing may actually be a myth (they've done some interesting studies where it turns out that the biggest factor in whether parents report their children as being hyperactive is whether the researches told the parents the kids were given sugar. Lol.) and b.) she's four, hyper is her natural state at nearly all times. She has three modes, hyper, having a meltdown, and asleep.

She is generously sharing the chocolate, at least. :D It's cute, she insisted on going in and giving an egg to JJ, too.

Also, our seeds have sprouted! Just one type, and I've already totally forgotten what I planted where, so I dunno what it is. Some kind of herb. He hehe. Happy spring indeed!

Yay! We celebrated like four-year-olds, too, dyeing eggs, eating a whole pack of Peeps and watching Prince of Egypt. But there are no children in our household, so... :) Happy Easter!

Passover takes 8 days, so we're not done with it yet! The first two are The Big Holiday, but we're still in the midst of Funny Diet period through Thursday. So, thanks for your very timely wishes, and happy belated Easter :)

I've always been fascinated by "sugar = hyper" thing, because of how cultural it is. Back In The Old Country, we didn't think sugar made kids hyper, we thought it made kids lazy, food coma style. And rotted their teeth, of course.

It's even more complicated than that. In Israel it's that one night, but in the rest of the world we have that one night twice. Because reasons. Starting with the first night of it and for a week in Israel (and 8 days elsewhere), we can't eat any grain product that might have had a chance to leaven. (The last day of this is kind of holiday-ish also if one is very hard-core about it, which I'm not). :)

At least she's sharing. Even if she's sure the chocolate has to ask be eaten now or it will disappear.
