When I mention that I've decided to get a ball python before getting a rainbow boa, telling me that I'm getting a "pet rock" and that it's "guaranteed" that I'll decide I don't want it after I actually own a rainbow is rather rude. It's not like I've never seen a rainbow, and am going to go "OMG, so pretty" and throw away the ball python as soon as I do see one. I've HELD a real live rainbow, AND a real live ball (several, even) and I like them BOTH, for crying out loud, or I wouldn't be getting both.

I have a tank, a heater, some substrate, a hide, a branch thing, a water bowl that's big enough to be a swimming pool for him, and a pair of thermometers and a hydrometer. Now all I need is the snake. Well, and some tongs and something to feed him, but I don't need those right away. I so can't wait! *bounces more*
